Yeah, I get it. Dorian talks about clothes and his footsies. 

Just remember that he was involved in groundbreaking research with Alexius. That his banters with Solas reveal a wealth of curiousity and knowledge. That he hangs out in the frickin’ library. 

He’s a scholar. Probably the best dressed one in Thedas, but he’s a scholar. 

Dorian is literally spending his time cataloging the library he never leaves and doing deep research so that we might be able to learn of the deeply buried origins of the literal legend that is trying to kill us all. Not to mention how he speaks with other mages, especially his conversations with Solas. 

He’s a scholar and so smart and also a nerd and that’s so important to me.
